February 13th, 2016 is the day! And this time I will bring my good ol’ Turbo SA22C unicorn! Damn, I’m really exited about this :)
Last year I didn’t have a car of my own, so I had to rent one and couldnt drive nearly as much as if I had mine. This time it will be waaay different!
It should also be great material for the Oppo Review of the SA22C, which I’ve put on hold for now as I seek very specific pictures and want good videos for this one :)

Driving on frozen lakes is the best!

Well if winter ever comes to the Northeast and I can find myself a rollbar, I plan to be doing this in my Miata this winter!

You wouldn’t regret it! Also don’t worry too much about a roll bar just for that... To manage to flip your car on a frozen lake, you really have to be more than abusive :)

Well generally it's in the requirements to have a roll bar for any sort of wheel to wheel racing. Plus I would certainly feel more comfortable with the safety, it would give more structural stability in general, and I think my girlfriend would be less worried about me if I at least have that.

There is no racing... Just like any trackday event, roll bars are not required anywhere :)
If you want to actually race your car, you will be asked for a lot more than just a roll cage, and on ice you better have a few extra body panels as spares laying around lol

Ice racing I have heard about in my area has been open wheel to wheel racing with strict no contact rules. Official rules do not require a roll bar but most people in Miatas run with them in those events. Rollover videos have made me a bit queasy about doing any sort of driving without a rollbar lol
